Unless you’re a newshound, you might be wondering when a recreational marijuana dispensary is opening in a town near you.
Below is information collected from the Massachusetts Cannabis Commission, displaying status of each place that has a provisional license.
Currently, around 60 locations have submitted applications and 25 have been granted preliminary licenses. The end of the rainbow is getting a final license, followed by a “commence operations” which allows a place to open within days of the commence being granted.
We have attempted to lay out all this information, with an ETA on when it might open. ETA is a big “if”—having a provisional license doesn’t mean you’ll get a final license. We are basing the ETA on time taken for other locations to get going.
Given the small sample size, do not plan your travel using the ETA’s below. The ETA’s could be very early, late, or not happening. But this does give you an idea of what’s in the pipeline.
